If you haven't heard your vintage mic element through the Terminator then you haven't heard how fat and full it can sound, especially with crystal elements. What about playing through 2 amps at once? Now you can, and still be properly terminated with no loss of tone.

ABOUT
The Lone Wolf Terminator is the answer for those who want to get the most out of their high impedance microphone and for those who desire a splitter with isolated outputs. This pedal is great for gigging musicians and the studio.

The Terminator is an active FET buffer and isolated splitter with a 10 meg ohm input. The 10 meg impedance is ideal for crystal microphone elements and more than adequate for controlled magnetic elements; in other words, it is perfect for your bullet microphone. Your tone will be fatter and you may find that microphones that have been put away now sound great. Good effect pedals will have a true bypass and with a true bypass you will lose the impedance match that the pedal provides causing the tone to be a little thinner, just like playing with no effect pedals at all, the Terminator will prevent this tone loss while in bypass by always providing an optimum impedance match for your microphone. The splitter function allows you to play through two amps at once or go to a PA with the second output, this feature allows for a lot of creativity and a stereo sound while performing. You can have effects with one amp while the other amp is clean, different effects with each amp or anything else you can dream up.

There is no gain in the pedal and there is no distortion. One output can be used to feed an amplifier and the second can feed either another amplifier or the LINE (or instrument) input on a PA. While the typical guitar amplifier has only a 68k ohm input impedance and the typical boutique harp amp may have a 1 meg ohm input impedance. When you use the Terminator you will have the optimum input impedance for a high impedance bullet microphone.

POWER
The pedal requires a 9v battery or a 9vdc power adapter. The AC adapter requirements are 9vdc with a minimum 100mA output and a 2.1mm x 5.5mm connector with a negative center and positive outside. Current draw is 4ma. The battery is switched OFF when an external power supply is used, and the IN jack acts as the ON/OFF switch and the pedal is ON as long as there is a cable plugged into the IN jack. Power adapter is not included.

Great piece of gear!

Bought this to split into two amps without dropping the impedance on my Bulletini. Works great. Used it at an outdoor show without PA support and got heard with five-piece blues band. Experimented at home with some mics I don’t use much. As advertised, the Terminator makes my Shure 520D with the 99S556 element, a mic I don’t care much for, sound a lot better than it ever did, to the point where I might use it again. You can’t go wrong with this pedal.

Very Interesting

Splits between amps with no noticeable signal degradation. Really changes the tone of my vintage astatic crystal mic. Didn't do much for my vintage dynamic element green bullet but that makes sense to me. The only quibble I'll bring up is the instructions they include tell you to put this at the end of the pedal chain (thus i assume "the Terminator"). But i found it worked better at the start and that makes better scientific sense as well so that's peculiar.

Terminator works like a charm

This box works great when you want to plug into 2 amps at the same time. No static or unnecessary noise. It does what it's supposed to do. A great solution. Thanks Randy for coming up with these great products for harp players. Peter G
