ABOUT
To my knowledge this is the first delay designed for harp offered to the public. It is not a tone-sucking modded guitar delay, but a tone-enhancing harp delay. The dry portion of the signal passes through a buffered input and high-value coupling capacitors, assuring maximum bass response. The echo portion passes through 5 low-pass filters to provide maximum warmth. This is a digital delay that has all of the warmth of an analog delay and then some.

The Harp Delay has a broad range of effects. From the tiled bathroom Sun and Chess recordings sound to slap-back to multi repeats that fade out like a reverb, the Harp Delay does all of this without increasing risk of feedback and without weakening your tone. It is great for voice too. The Harp Delay is guaranteed to please even the most diehard analog delay fan.

If you are having a difficult time choosing between the Harp Delay and the Harp V2 Delay, then I recommend this delay, which has a customer approval rating of about 99%. The V2 Delay was created for the smaller percentage of my customers who wanted less filtering in the echo.

The circuit is centered around a chip that has a low noise rating at < -90dBV, low distortion, < 0.5% THD, 44k digital processing, and is capable of up to 300ms delay. The input is FET buffered for high impedance to provide proper loading for your favorite crystal or CM mic. The delay has a true bypass. The gain has been reduced to prevent solid state distortion and is balanced to have an overall gain of 1x so that the level is the same when bypassed. The warmth comes from the superior bass response, distortion-free performance, and the filtering, which reduces the highs more on every repeat providing the effect of a distancing echo.

POWER
The pedal can be powered with a 9V battery or a AD adapter. The AD adapter requirements are a regulated 9V DC with a minimum 100mA output and a 2.1mm x 5.5mm connector with a negative center. The battery is switched OFF when an external power adapter is used, and the "IN" jack acts as the pedal ON/OFF switch. We offer power adapters for US and EURO customers

Because delay pedals are hard on batteries with an estimated 10 to 12 hours of playing time, it is recommended to purchase the 9V power adapter, which is sold separately.

I have been using this harp delay for 9 years now. I don't leave home without it. This pedal really smooths out my tone and the slap back is fantastic.
Lately Iv'e been using it with a Audix Fireball V and a Super Champ X2. When the band does a grand pause the slap back is like putting a period at the end of the sentence. I pulled the trigger on the Boogieman as the band is usually playing through PA now or our own system. Hopefully I can down size and leave my amp and amp mic at home mos [...read more]

I play keyboard harmonica, which has a timbre like a cross between a harp, accordion, and a horn. Over the last year, I have tried expensive tube preamps, channel strips, Lexicon multi-effects processors, and various EQs to try and obtain a rounded and pleasant sound. Of all these devices, the Harp Delay is the best. It is simple to use and provides a warm rounded sound without changing the character of my instrument. The delay adds to this sound by filling it out to provide a big smooth profess [...read more]

The harp delay is the best. I love the presence I now have when I play. My harp and the delay now have a relationship like Ike & Tina rollin with the punches. Its amazing!!!
