An Old School Delay With Vintage Tone

ABOUT
The range on the controls are not "out of the box" like many pedals today but set for useful ranges that make finding settings that you like fast and easy. The circuit is centered around a low noise, low distortion IC that allows up to 500ms of delay. The input is FET buffered for high impedance to provide proper loading to maximize your tone. The vintage tone evident in this pedal comes from filtering which slightly reduces the highs more on every repeat providing the effect of a distancing echo. The LED provides bypass indication and is on when the delay is in and is off when the delay is in bypass. The IN jack acts as the on/off switch and the pedal features a true bypass plus reverse polarity protection. The Rocket 88 Delay© is guaranteed to please even the most die-hard analog delay fan.

SETTINGS
The Rocket 88 Delay offers a range from fat to reverb to slap back echo to multiple fading repeats. The BLEND control is used to set the audio level of the effect from unheard to just slightly louder than the dry signal. The REPEAT is used to set the number of repeats from 1 to many and the DELAY sets the time intervel between the dry signal and the echo.

POWER
The delay operates off of a 9 volt battery or a 9vdc power adapter. The battery is switched off when an external power adapter is used saving battery life. The ac adapter requirements are 9V DC with a minimum 200mA output and a 2.1mm x 5.5mm connector with a negative center and the outer positive. Because of the high current draw that is typical of delay pedals battery life is short (around 12 hours) and to prevent noise from low battery voltage it is recommended to use a power adapter.
